Normally 2 or 3 nights, Campouts are supported touring weekends, based at a campground. While all types of motorcycles are welcome, some campouts have a theme, such as, an introduction to adventure riding, romantic couples weekend or attending an event or rally. The campgrounds used offer varying types of accommodations, including tent, cabin or lodge. Rental motorcycles can be ridden from our Carnegie location or picked up at the campground. A chase vehicle will carry your gear to and from the location and guides will help you with routing or lead group rides.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q: What isn’t included in my tour package ?
A: Airfare, meals , fuel and entrance fees to parks or events are not included.
Q: What happens if it rains ?
A: The staff’s first priority is the safety of our guests. While sometimes it may be impossible to avoid riding in a light rain, our guides carry Doppler radar and will suspend or reroute a tour to avoid hard rain or windy conditions. Guests should bring rain gear designed for motorcycling.
Q: Can I ride my own bike on a guided tour ?
A: Yes, once the minimum amount of rental tourists has been met we will open a limited amount of spots for non-renters, giving priority to family and friends of rental customers.
Q: What if I get lost ?
A: Don’t worry, with all the tools we provide it’s highly unlikely you will get lost but if you do, our free routing concierge is only a phone call away.
Q: Can a tour be modified to see a point of interest that isn’t on the itinerary ?
A: Yes, there are so many things to see along our routes that we can’t possibly stop at them all, but if you have your heart set on one, we’ll do our best to get you there.
Q: Would I have to sleep on the ground to attend a Campout ?
A: No, absolutely not. The campgrounds we use have multiple ways to accommodate our guests . Even tent campers get a thick air mattress.
